Description

Let's try that again!

Join the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce for our first in-person networking event in two years as we come together for an exclusive next-day review of Budget 2022 from Manitoba's recently re-appointed provincial Minister of Finance, Honourable Cameron Friesen.

"Budget 2022 is about strengthening our health-care system, focusing on affordability, finding ways to invest in our communities and protecting Manitoba's environment," said Friesen. "We must continue to rebuild our economy and work toward resolving something that everyone is concerned about -- making life more affordable."

The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce believes that in order for our province to achieve the level of prosperity needed to take our economy to the next level, the provincial government must increase its focus on economic growth and competitiveness in the budgeting process. As we begin to emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, facing the highest inflation rates we've seen since 2008, Manitoba is also deeply affected by workforce shortages and supply chain challenges, and coming to terms with significant healthcare investments. Bottom line: the economy must be a driving force behind all decision-making.

We look forward to seeing you for breakfast on April 13 as we review provincial budget highlights with Minister Friesen, followed by a moderated Q&A led by MCC President & CEO, Chuck Davidson.
