2022 Steinbach Chamber Lunch & Learn ...

Description

Join us as we learn from Jayce Van Alstyne of Fitness On The Go about 'Corporate Wellness - Empowering Your Workplace & Community.'

Our physical and mental health is at the center of our existence, guiding and influencing every decision we are able to make from day to day. Yet, how many of us can truly say that we prioritize time, energy, and money towards keeping our body and mind functioning at peak performance? The goal of corporate wellness is to educate, equip, and empower employees, employers, and their family members to adopt a healthier lifestyle that brings joy and fulfillment to everyone involved.

For example: A short yet effective 30 minutes allotted for exercise followed by 30 minutes of distraction free lunch can then accomplish many things, including:

  • More productivity for remainder of the day
  • Better mood with customers & co-workers
  • Increased serotonin, decreased cortisol which can improve decision-making & problem-solving abilities
  • Fewer sick days & absenteeism
  • Improved concentration & ability to focus on tasks with deadlines
  • Saves the company money for health related expenses related to sick days, hospital visits, drug coverage, & other chronic disease health appointments
Join us to learn about different ways to prioritize wellness for your workplace and the benefits that can extend to your home and community!

About Jayce Van Alstyne
From a young age, Jayce noticed a problem that concerned him - the staggering amount of people who had lost touch with their own body and mind. Such an important part of life, and yet so often overlooked, or pushed down on our list of priorities. Jayce decided he wanted to help turn things around and has been an ambassador of keeping the body and mind active ever since.

He has helped a 14 year old athlete train for the Canada games, helped a middle-aged divorcee lose 20 pounds and boost her confidence, and is currently working with an 85 year old man who wants to complete a pull-up by years end. These people have found success with Jayce's training style and you can too!

"I believe that with my help, you can take control of your life today to ensure a more prosperous tomorrow!"
- Jayce, CSEP - Certified Personal Trainer;
Bachelor of Kinesiology; Precision Nutrition Certified Level 1 Coach

Manitoba is located on Treaty 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 Territories and includes travel through communities who are signatories to Treaties 6 and 10. Manitoba is located on the ancestral land of the Anishinaabeg, Anishininewuk, Dakota Oyate, Denesuline and Nehethowuk Nations, and is the Homeland of the Red River Métis. Northern Manitoba includes lands that were and are the ancestral lands of the Inuit.

The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce respects the spirit and intent of Treaties and Treaty Making and remains committed to working in partnership with First Nations, Inuit and Métis people in the spirit of truth, reconciliation and collaboration. Acknowledging these original caretakers is a reminder of our unique heritage, our important relationships, and our obligations to and shared responsibilities with Indigenous peoples.
