Description

New Leader Communication™ is a two-day program that equips emerging leaders with a practical toolkit of essential communication skills. Designed to empower new leaders, this program builds capability in clear and confident delegation, constructive feedback and coaching, and effective performance management.

Participants will learn to prioritize work, set performance expectations, and communicate with impact both upward and downward across the organization. Through self-reflection, models, and real-world practice, participants will develop a leadership voice rooted in authenticity and integrity—enabling them to foster accountability, build strong teams, and navigate leadership challenges with confidence and clarity.

At the conclusion of the program, participants receive a Certificate of Completion from the I.H. Asper School of Business’ James W. Burns Executive Education Centre.

Manitoba is located on Treaty 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 Territories and includes travel through communities who are signatories to Treaties 6 and 10. Manitoba is located on the ancestral land of the Anishinaabeg, Anishininewuk, Dakota Oyate, Denesuline and Nehethowuk Nations, and is the Homeland of the Red River Métis. Northern Manitoba includes lands that were and are the ancestral lands of the Inuit.

The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce respects the spirit and intent of Treaties and Treaty Making and remains committed to working in partnership with First Nations, Inuit and Métis people in the spirit of truth, reconciliation and collaboration. Acknowledging these original caretakers is a reminder of our unique heritage, our important relationships, and our obligations to and shared responsibilities with Indigenous peoples.
