Half-Day AI Foundations Session

Description

Event Overview With a focus on personal productivity in everyday work, we will explore how AI can be used immediately and practically to support individual tasks without adding unnecessary complexity. Emphasis is placed on clarity, efficiency, and the production of usable outputs that reduce repetitive effort, support organization, and save time. We will present AI as a tool that can assist with activities such as drafting, summarizing, organizing information, and streamlining routine work. You can expect to build a solid foundation through this training program and prepare to engage meaningfully in other sessions that shift the focus from individual productivity to broader, role-specific organizational considerations. What you can expect to learn at the AI Foundation Session: Prompting Fundamentals System Prompts & Personas Personal Productivity Patterns Change Management – Introduction Who Should Attend this session: Front-line staff, individual contributors, and small business owners, regardless of role or seniority. It is designed for individuals balancing multiple responsibilities alongside their everyday work tasks. Facilitator: This session is delivered by Online Business System (OBS) out of Winnipeg. OBS helps organizations make sense of AI and apply it in practical, responsible ways. A valued partner in Manitoba's AI landscape, OBS focuses on building confidence, clarity, and productivity for leaders and teams. Turning emerging technology into usable, real-world value. This event is part of Manitoba AI Pathways (MAP)—a provincial initiative that equips chambers and SMEs with practical training, tools, and supports to accelerate AI readiness and competitiveness. MAP is delivered by the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce, in partnership with The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce, and supported by the Province of Manitoba.

Manitoba is located on Treaty 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 Territories and includes travel through communities who are signatories to Treaties 6 and 10. Manitoba is located on the ancestral land of the Anishinaabeg, Anishininewuk, Dakota Oyate, Denesuline and Nehethowuk Nations, and is the Homeland of the Red River Métis. Northern Manitoba includes lands that were and are the ancestral lands of the Inuit.

The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce respects the spirit and intent of Treaties and Treaty Making and remains committed to working in partnership with First Nations, Inuit and Métis people in the spirit of truth, reconciliation and collaboration. Acknowledging these original caretakers is a reminder of our unique heritage, our important relationships, and our obligations to and shared responsibilities with Indigenous peoples.
