Description

Climb aboard with the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce, Manitoba Environmental Industries Association (MEIA), and BizforClimate for a full-day sustainability-themed bus tour.

Discover how Winnipeg businesses are transforming challenges into opportunities for growth. You’ll get an inside look into local, Manitoba companies, hearing directly from their leaders and getting a rare, behind-the-scenes look at how sustainable operations really work.

Learn how these businesses are pivoting to include sustainability and climate action in their core strategies: not just as a “good to have,” but as a business imperative driving resilience, innovation, and long-term success.

Don’t miss the bus; seats are limited for this full-day sustainability tour.

What to Expect

We’ll begin our day by uncovering the true cost of climate’s impact on businesses, starting at the Wawanesa Life Building and the Institute for Catastrophic Loss Reduction (ICLR). Then we’ll board the bus together and head out to visit leading Manitoba businesses.

Along the way, you’ll see sustainability in action in places you might not expect, with practical and inspiring examples of how small and medium-sized enterprises are adapting and thriving.

This isn’t just about observation, it’s about conversation. Throughout the day, BizforClimate will guide discussions, encouraging you to ask thoughtful questions and engage deeply with each business. With a bus full of business leaders, there will be plenty of opportunities to network, share ideas, and build new connections.

Tickets are $125.

Highlights

  • Learn how sustainability drives growth and efficiency in everyday businesses.
  • Engage directly with leaders who are driving change.
  • Network with peers in a collaborative, interactive setting.
  • Experience a guided, full-day tour designed to spark new ideas and inspiration.

Don’t forget: bring your reusable water bottle or insulated travel cup to help us keep the day sustainable.

Manitoba is located on Treaty 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 Territories and includes travel through communities who are signatories to Treaties 6 and 10. Manitoba is located on the ancestral land of the Anishinaabeg, Anishininewuk, Dakota Oyate, Denesuline and Nehethowuk Nations, and is the Homeland of the Red River Métis. Northern Manitoba includes lands that were and are the ancestral lands of the Inuit.

The Manitoba Chambers of Commerce respects the spirit and intent of Treaties and Treaty Making and remains committed to working in partnership with First Nations, Inuit and Métis people in the spirit of truth, reconciliation and collaboration. Acknowledging these original caretakers is a reminder of our unique heritage, our important relationships, and our obligations to and shared responsibilities with Indigenous peoples.
