SUMMARY:MBiz Breakfast - Unleashing the Economic Opportunities in Northern Manitoba
DESCRIPTION:When we imagine Manitoba's great white North\, most of us envision whipping black waters in the Hudson Bay\, dense forest\, magnificent polar bears and beluga whales\, and dancing northern lights. The natural landscape is of course\, unique in the world\, attracting travellers from around the globe\, and fueling a massive tourism industry that contributes millions to our province's economy. There is so much more. \n\n\n\nBurgeoning Indigenous tourism\, artistic markets\, and culinary experiences\; critical mineral deposits essential to our country's transition to green energy\; cold weather testing for vehicles and jet engines\; plant protein production occurring throughout the province with a mission to feed the world sustainably\; a diverse and willing local workforce with direct access to innovative training and skills development facilities\; and a location at the base of an untapped global transport route. \n\n\n\nAnd the most significant there are people there with vision and commitment\, whose love for the region and unrelenting optimism is unleashing and driving economic opportunity. Manitoba's North is resource-rich\, culturally-diverse\, and poised for greater possibilities\, and there is something special happening there. Join us on December 14 at our upcoming MBiz Breakfast presented by 6P Marketing to hear from expert panelists in a moderated discussion.\n\n\n\nPanelists include:\n\n- Michael Woelcke\, Arctic Gateway Group\n\n- Becky Cianflone\, Community Futures Greenstone & Chair\, UCN\n\n- Christian Sinclair\, Opaskwayak Cree Nation\n\n- Philip Gross\, Snow Lake Lithium\n\n \n\n\nCancellation & Refund Policy\n\nEvent registrations cannot be cancelled or refunded less than three (3) business days prior to a scheduled event (unless the cancellation is COVID-19 related)\, and cancellation/refund requests must be received by email to events@mbchamber.mb.ca. The cancellation/refund window closes December 8 at 5:00 PM for this event.\n\n\n\nIf an event is cancelled and rescheduled to another date\, the MCC will automatically transfer all existing registrations to the new date. If the revised event date is less than three (3) business days from the original event\, MCC will accept cancellation requests up to two (2) business days prior to the new date.\n\n\n\nIf an event is cancelled for reasons beyond the MCC's control and cannot be rescheduled to a later date\, the MCC will refund or cancel all registrations as appropriate.\n\n\n\nCOVID-19 Cancellations\n\nAlthough the MCC cannot refund registrations cancelled due to COVID-19 illness\, registrants who cancel due to COVID-19 have the option to either transfer their registration to a colleague OR transfer their registration to a future event.
